Why do you require that "companion" dogs you sell be spayed or neutered?

Chasing PercySpaying and neutering pets helps to prevent unwanted litters as well as certain behaviors in dogs. When dogs are altered at an appropriate age, there are certain long-term health benefits. We do not advocate "early" or juvenile spay/neuter prior to 5 1/2 months of age. The most recent studies performed by major universities  document a number of health problems in dogs altered at very young age. While it is now popular to alter puppies coming from shelters as young as 8 weeks old, it is not MEDICALLY in the dog's best interest. Please see the Spay/Neuter article under Health & Genetics.
